Cheeky is a 12- or 13-year-old lovebird and a sweetheart as that species goes.  His first owner died and I was looking for a handleable lovebird so my friend (who was the breeder for him) gave him to me.  I love his coloring as I've not seen any others like him except for his brother Little Shit.

He hides and sleeps in a hamster house, without the roof, near the top of his cage.  He had some little "roly poly"s that would roll back upright after he'd knocked them over to feed them.  I finally had to take the toys out of his cage as he was getting a little thin from "feeding" them and his brother had died a few months earlier from feeding his toys.

Cheeky usually starts off the bird shows as the smallest of the birds present, but he's not too fond of the crowds so happily goes back into his carrier almost immediately, while the rest end up on the playstand together (or Slick ends up on me).
